Can America's left start its own tea party?

Hello again, I'm Armin Alney, and this is To the Point.

Across the country, protesters are calling on Democrats to obstruct the Trump administration wherever they can.

In the U.S. Senate, Elizabeth Warren and others have got the message.

They're defying Republicans by attacking Trump's nominee for Attorney General.

But how long can the political energy be sustained,

especially when Republicans complain that they're in danger at town halls when demonstrators

turn on them, is a so-called resistance movement at risk of alienating the supporters it

needs most to accomplish political change. On today's talking point later, President Trump

is reportedly in a dispute with officials in Yemen over his first commando raid.

Opposition to the Trump administration has gone from the streets to the floor of the U.S. Senate,

where Democrats are protesting a cabinet nomination, even though they have no chance of winning,

will ask how far is too far for opposition to be

effective? Today's talking point of the White House called last week's attack in Yemen a success,

but the deaths of children and other civilians have Yemeni officials reportedly saying otherwise.

We heard about the president's first dispute about a commando raid. First, his news update, President Trump took a shot at the federal judiciary today in a speech to police chiefs of major cities.
