Our culture is saturated with pornography. It's everywhere. How do you resist the

temptation to look at it?

I'm John Fuller along with Greg Smalley and his wife Aaron,

who oversee the Focus Marriage team, and Aaron,

you are a counselor.

What have you heard when people learned their spouse is dealing with

pornography struggling with it. So many couples that come in are dealing with

the impact of pornography in the marriage and what I say, when the number one things I hear from wives,

when it's the husband who's dealing with pornography,

is that somehow, some way, she's not enough,

she's done something that's impacted this and it is absolutely not true.

Either individual viewing or utilizing pornography,

that is an individual choice that they're responsible for to coping?

And so it's recognizing no, but it's a very common response to it.

You know, there might be confusion, anger, hurt, concern trying to figure out is there anything else, are there

more lies or deceit or secrets that I don't know about and you know self-doubt blame so there's a whole gamut but there's hope beyond pornography

and I've many many couples who won or both have worked their way through individual therapy or maybe a support

group with pornography addiction and there is hope for the individual as well as for the marriage.

That's really good. I appreciate your insights and your empathy because there is a wound.

Shanti Feld on. Now they've done some really terrific research on healthy sexuality and

they'll discuss with Jim why it matters that you resist porn.
