It was a day of high drama yesterday, ladies and gentlemen, in the corridors of power.

A few people were fired. A few people were hired.

Boris Johnson once more destroyed Sequeer Starmer at the dispatch box in Prime Minister's questions

and the evening ended with a bizarre

press conference with President Joe Biden in the White House and some guy down under, as he referred

to him, the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison. The trouble is that unless you're a political

anorac or someone who exists inside the Westminster bubble, you probably don't really actually care

that Michael Gove has been moved further

away from the centre of power into a department that has tentacles all over Whitehall, do you?

He's probably not bothered that Dominic Rahm has been officially named the Deputy Prime Minister

while being removed from the Foreign Office for spending too much time on the beach.

And you might not even give us stuff that Adib Sahawi has been moved to run the Department

of Education after spending the last few months organising to get people vaccinated. It's all part of the

business of government. But what does it actually mean to the ordinary people of this country?

That's the question I'm going to be asking you today. And I'll be suggest to you the answer

is not very much. We'll be asking William Closton, leader of the SDP, what we can expect to see
