Hey, good morning. It's Patricia Murphy. It's Friday. This is Seattle now. We usually do

casual Friday on this day, but we're a bit short-staffed, so we're bringing you a special report instead.

But first, let's get you caught up.

A caravan of buses will roll through Seattle this morning to honor the life of metro driver Sean Yim, who was stabbed to death last month by a passenger,

the memorial procession begins at 10 at Metro's base in Soto.

A public memorial will follow at 11 a.m. at Lumen Field Events Center.

The speakers include Democratic Congresswoman Pramilla Jaya Paul.

U.S. Senator Patty Murray has once again introduced the Sunshine Protection Act, which would

make daylight saving time permanent across the country.

It's a bipartisan effort co-sponsored by Florida Republican Rick Scott.

Murray says Washington residents despair each year at the prospect of losing an hour of sunlight. Meanwhile, state lawmakers have

introduced a bill that would put Washington State on standard time, which doesn't require congressional

approval. And a big transportation note to tell you about, light rail will not serve downtown Seattle

stations this weekend. Sound Transit says it's suspending service between

Westlake and Soto in both directions for construction. Passengers who need to get through downtown
