| 0:38.0 | So, the idea of turning real life situations into a meditation practice |
| 1:01.0 | is something I've been practicing for, I don't know, the last several months. |
| 1:07.0 | At least, I've been more intentional with it the last several months. |
| 1:11.0 | And I've found it to be quite exciting for shifting my relationship to things I'm going through, |
| 1:18.0 | especially difficult or frustrating experiences. |
| 1:22.0 | And I've been excited to make a podcast episode on it. |
| 1:26.0 | To open this up, let's start by looking at what meditation is. |
| 1:32.0 | Obviously, we did a whole episode on this, I believe it was episode three. |
| 1:37.0 | So, if you want to go back, you could explore an in more depth what meditation is. |
| 1:42.0 | But in general, it's this set period of time where we're choosing very intentionally to be present to, to relax into, |
| 1:52.0 | and to work through whatever arises during five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes, whatever that set period of time is. |
| 2:00.0 | So, if you're sitting there on your meditation cushion or in your chair, |
| 2:05.0 | and you get some discomfort that comes up in the body, |
| 2:09.0 | instead of immediately turning away from it, getting frustrated by it or trying to get rid of it, |
