Hey, wonderfuls, happy new year.

I know it feels a little arbitrary, but you know what?

It's fun to turn over a new leaf and look at new opportunities and think about the year that has passed.

I hope that everyone listening to this has had a very pleasant holiday season.

And if you're listening to this within this week, I hope you had a very fun New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and played it safe.

I'm going to stop mothering you now and instead welcome you into this John

Heater episode rerun. I wanted to do this one for this holiday week because I am so, so, so

excited to be producing and to be a part of the 20th anniversary live read of Napoleon Dynamite

that we're doing at SF Sketch Fest this year. It's going to feature

John, but also Ephron Ramirez and John Grease and Tina Majerino and Dietrich Bader. And then

we also have Naima Funk and Mindy Sterling and Gary Anthony Williams. A ton of those people have

been on the JV Club. I think almost everyone has been up at the festival before, but it is going to be

such a treat, and I cannot believe it's been 20 years since that movie came out. I remember when I

saw it at the Aspen Comedy Festival before it had gone wide out into the world, and I definitely

had that moment with my Sketch Fest partners who were out there with me. We were like, this is going to be

a big deal.

This is like a really fun, special movie. And it's been really fun to see what all those folks and what Jared and Jerusha who wrote and made it and all that good stuff have been up to since.

So enjoy this episode with John. He is a delightful human being. and I can't wait to see him in person.
