10 types of abusive men from Melendie Bancroft's book. Why does he do that? And if you have not

read this book, I implore you to do so right now. And when it comes to our Survivor Story

episodes, lately I've been preparing guests and asking

him to think more about what type of abuser they were dealing with and to maybe call things

out a little bit more, discuss some of their motives, what was their actual thought process,

and what were they doing to get the result that they desired?

So when I started the show interviewing survivors, which was not the original intention of the show,

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

And the word narcissist in the way that it was being used in society

in the ways we were using it. There was just a lot of different meanings to different people.

I explained it very early on was a very basic meaning of the word. It was just someone who was

very self-focused and not thinking of the other person. And over time,

this show has evolved. I started to understand more about abuse. And slowly, I started adding
