Summary

In this rerelease episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Elly shares the story of surviving an abusive marriage marked by addiction, infidelity, intimidation, and escalating physical violence. After growing up with generational trauma and learning to survive through caretaking, Elly found herself trapped inside another family system that protected the person harming her and punished her for speaking up. As the danger increased, Elly realized that leaving was the only way to keep herself alive and give her children a chance at safety. However, separation brought a new fight through legal abuse, financial devastation, institutional failures, and the continued weaponization of her children.

2:26.3	There's not really a good explanation of how that I'm able to sit here and share my story other than sheer will and faith.
2:36.3	My battle with narcissism has been lifelong.
2:40.6	It didn't start when I met the wrong partner.
2:44.1	I had been primed from a very early age with two parents that just refused to heal.
2:52.9	And because of that, my childhood was excessively dysfunctional.
2:59.1	I survived abuse of all forms to such a severe degree that my brain refuses to allow me to
