Summary

The Lakers continue filling out their collection of former players on the 2021-22 roster, with multiple reports saying they'll sign point guard Rajon Rondo as soon as he clears waivers after being released by the Memphis Grizzlies. That he'll land with L.A. isn't a big surprise - he was a common "future buyout candidate" cited as the type of player (figuratively and literally) they'd keep a roster spot open for. But it happened a little faster than expected, which is a good deal for the Lakers. Now, they have a point guard rotation pretty well set. Russell Westbrook, Kendrick Nunn, then Rondo.
