Today, we sit down with Lily Meschi, the director of partner relations at Iran Alive Ministries, to hear her testimony of coming to Christ after growing up Muslim and surviving an abusive, arranged marriage. She shares with us her story of how she came to Christ in the midst of that abusive marriage after a family friend shared the gospel with her. She tells us about what it's like to grow up Muslim in Iran in the aftermath of the Islamic Revolution and how women suffer under the oppressive regime. Despite everything standing in its way, Christianity is on the rise in Iran as more and more people grow disillusioned with Islam, and Lily tells us how Iran Alive is spreading the gospel to the people of Iran and giving them hope. 0:52.2	So my name is Lily Meshi.
0:56.6	First and foremost, I'm a daughter of the Most High God. And professionally, I serve at a ministry called Iran Alive Ministries, where we
1:04.1	air the love of Christ through satellite TV into people's homes in Iran and Afghanistan and some other regions in the Middle East.
1:14.9	Wow. And tell me about your upbringing. How did you come to do what you do now?
1:19.6	Yes. So I was born and raised in Iran. And when I was 16, my parents wanted us to emigrate from Iran to outside of Iran.
1:32.3	So anywhere except Iran due to some, you know, economical challenges and my dad's business and all that.
1:40.4	And so we moved to Germany where my mom's side of the family lived at the time. And I
1:47.4	lived there for a couple of years. And then my dad started a business venture in the U.S. with my uncle,
1:53.7	who had been here for a long time. And one by one, we moved to the U.S. And about a year after I moved to the US,
2:03.4	I came to know Christ.
2:06.3	And, you know, ever since it's been over 24 years now,
2:13.0	ever since I've been just growing in my faith
2:15.5	and wanting to serve.
