Job chapter 42, verses 1 through 6.

Then Job answered the Lord and said,

I know that you can do all things,

and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.

Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?

Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand,

things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.

Here, and I will speak, I will question you and you make it known to me.

I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.

Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.

I just want to make a confession as I lead us in prayer and read this passage at the end of the book of Job.

Like when I started reading the book of Job and my Bible reading, I really didn't want to read it.

I had just, I loved reading through Esther and just that glorious story of God's fingerprints in such a beautiful way.

And I got to Job and it's like, oh, what does this mean?

Like reading through Job, what's coming?

And I've been reading through Job amid what's coming?

And I've been reading through Job amidst some challenging days in my own life.

And it's really good to get to the end of this book and to read these verses and to realize that the book of Job is good.

It's a good thing when God brings us to this point like he did Job,

where he sees God in a way he'd never seen him before.
