Summary

A U.S. naval blockade is now in effect in the Strait of Hormuz after Vice President JD Vance’s negotiations with Iran ended in a stalemate. While President Trump expressed confidence that Iran will eventually commit to a nuclear-free future, saying "they will agree to it," the military standoff continues. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) joins us to defend the strategic necessity of the move against mounting criticism. Plus, she provides an update on the  DHS funding fight, and discusses her new book, Poisoned Ivies, reflecting on her 2023 congressional testimony regarding anti-Semitism on campus. President Trump has told the U.S. Navy to blockade the Strait of Hormuz with orders to intercept any ships paying a toll to Iran.  Now, the high costs of oil are expected to trickle into other goods and services that are commonly used. Former Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette, now a co-chair at the Torridon Group in Washington D.C., joins the Rundown to discuss how the United States military actions abroad are impacting energy prices, and more, at home. PLUS, commentary by Ted Jenkin, President of Exit Stage Left Advisors and Host of The Red, White & Green Show. PHOTO CREDIT: ASSOCIATED PRESS Learn more about your ad choices. said while the Iranian's ability to build a nuclear weapon has been taken out,

the apparent desire for such a weapon is not gone.

But the simple question is, do we see a fundamental commitment of will for the Iranians not to develop a nuclear weapon, not just now, not just two years from now, but for the long term. We haven't seen that yet. We hope that we will. President Trump said Monday from the White House, that moment is coming. We agreed to a lot of things, but they didn't agree to that. And I think they will agree to it. I'm almost sure of it. In fact, I am sure of it. If they don't agree, there's no deal. They'll never be a deal. Iran will not have a nuclear weapon, and we're going to get the dust back. We'll get it back either. We'll get it back from them or we'll take it. Now, an American blockade is in effect in the Strait of Hormuz. Sentcom says it affects the entire coastline of Iran, including ports and

they were going to open the Hormuz Strait. They didn't do it. They lied. And Iranian defense
