Last week was July 4th, and here in the United States, that's the day that President Biden declared

the country open again. But here's the thing, we shut down nearly everything in less than a week

in March of 2020. Re-opening is a much more gradual process. How do we want to work? Where?

What work do we want to do? Nothing is as clear. Here at Hello Monday, we want to figure this out

together. So for the next six weeks, we're going to tackle six big questions about our work lives

because we reopen. There will be homework. We'll discuss our weekly assignments on office hours

and bring back highlights. Our goal is to be clearied about what's coming, to be proactive about

this future. This week, we start with a question that will lay the groundwork for everything else.

How are you feeling? And look, there's no one answer to this. Some people are still feeling pretty

crappy. Others are feeling ecstatic, but understanding all the different ways that we're coping,

it's going to help us a lot. So for this question, I call Dr. Rich Warbe Austin. He's a psychologist.

He coaches people, he also coaches companies. Rich said that at first during the pandemic,

most of the conversations he had were about stress management. But now, now they're mostly about

change management. Now we're at a stage of reopening, if you will, or returning back to some sort of

normal, but some people are dipping their toes in a little bit, but some people are even more

hesitant. And some people are good to go. They've been waiting for this moment. So now it becomes

organizations reaching out saying, well, now people are going back into the office. I need help
