Everybody knows good work is hard to come by. And if Dracula could have been just a morsel nicer to Renfield, he could have retained his ultimate servitude for at least another century or two. And that should be a lesson to any terrible boss out there. Just be nice, maybe on Tuesdays. And you'll reap the benefits.

Howdy, I'm Jeff Goldsmith, and this is the Q&A.

0:22.5

My agenda is simple.

0:23.7

Each week, I plan to bring you in-depth insights into the creative process of storytelling.

0:28.0

And folks, today's film is Renfield, and I love Renfield.

0:30.9

And you know what?

0:31.7

1:27.9

I love the universal horror tropes that are all throughout it. And this is tone that is very

1:34.4

difficult to manage, and it was managed quite well. If you're not careful, this could have ended up
