Have you ever found yourself wondering if you can keep going?

Maybe you feel tired emotionally, spiritually, physically.

You feel like you have nothing left to give.

God knew that there would be moments and times when we would feel this way.

And I have good news for you. In this prayer today, you don't have to do anything.

This prayer, all we get to do is sit and receive.

Jesus knew that there would be times we would feel like we have no more strength to go on.

In fact, he used a prophet to speak to his people.

And that prophet declared that God gives power to the faint.

And to him who has no might, God increases strength.

Even youth shall faint and be weary, the prophet said,

and young men will fall exhausted. But the scripture declares that those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not be weary, and they will walk and not faint.

And so today in these moments of prayer, all we're going to do is wait.

The Bible says that God gives strength to those who wait for him.

So in these next few moments, as the music plays, I want you to simply say, Jesus, I'm waiting on you.

Jesus, I need your strength.

Jesus, show up for me today.

Now let's take these moments and wait.

Thank you. Other translations of this verse say that those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength. There is something to this posture that we can have together in these moments of waiting and trusting.
