Hi, everyone, welcome to the passion and purpose podcast. It's me, Louis Giglio, and I am so excited today. I mean, legitimately thrilled to have one of my

good friends on with me today to have a conversation that I know already ahead of time is going to

change your life and make a huge impact on the way that you think about life and think about God

and on your future. And also, just letting everybody know

before I introduce my guest to that, if you're kind of in real time, this podcast is dropping

on May the 12th, 2026. You may be listening to it, I don't know, in 2034, for all I know.

But it's dropping on the day after the fifth year anniversary of the release of

Don't Give the Enemy a seat at your table. And that's important because there's going to be a big

reveal in this podcast today. And I'm pretty pumped about that also. My guest is a husband and a father, a pastor, a worship leader, a

songwriter, an artist, a storyteller, a runner. I don't know. Which one of those should we go

with today or all of the above? This is Christian Stanfield. He leads Passion Music, is the anchor, worship leader in our house at Passion City Church,

and really just a phenomenal, gifted, kind human being. And I'm so glad to have you on today.

you. I'm excited to talk to you. This is fun. It's like we're just hanging out, grabbing coffee.

It is. Exactly that. I ask everybody, Christian, right off the top, because it's the Passion and Purpose

podcast. And so I like to ask people, what would you say your passion is in life and what would you say your purpose is in life?

I kind of know this question is coming because the podcast starts this way. It's a tough question. And it was interesting to think through it, peel back the layers and get down to it. But for me, you know, passion

twofold, probably the first, maybe in chronological order, would be songs. You know, when I was

super young, I became fascinated with the power of a song. What age were you when you really started in your head around that?

I mean, somewhere in the 8, 9, 10 range, I started paying attention to the way songs would make me feel,

the way they would make other people feel, how they could stir up emotion, make you

feel happy, make you feel sad, move you toward God, move you toward a love story.
