today is the great genius Renee Redzepi, the owner and chef at Noma which has been called the best restaurant in the world.

I've eaten there and it is certainly, if it's not the best restaurant in the world, it's really, really close if there is such a thing as a best restaurant.

And Renee is someone who's long held my fascination.

Jeff Gordonair's amazing book,

Hungry that came out this year.

Jeff was on the podcast.

It was all about four years he spent with Renee.

And Renee's in Copenhagen right now

having recently reopened the restaurant.

So I don't start Renee, how is it going?

You're in like one of the few places in the world that handled COVID correctly. So how does it feel in Copenhagen right now and how does it feel as you are

back to doing the thing that you do? Yeah, yeah. You know to tell the truth it's a big bag of mixed emotions and feelings about the whole

thing because on one hand we're safe in Copenhagen.

Yes, our government dealt with this situation so impressively.

I mean, practically everything is returned to normal.

Yes, we still cannot go to a discotheque or club and there are no big concerts and stuff, but more or less everything else is open, restaurants are doing well, people are busy, even now tourism has started.

We've seen Germans in the streets now, we've seen Spanish people, and so it's optimistic.

I would even go as far as saying as you know some people are

taking a little bit too optimistic now it's as if this thing is over to a lot of

people and and so so that is definitely, you see that now when people are actually queuing at places,

you know, they used to, let's say a month and a half ago, there would be that distance that was required.
