There's something in our DNA that allows us to do this, that made us hunters.

And then to turn that into food, there's a primal feeling, but there's also a sense of responsibility.

What do you make of the whole plant-based movement?

By existing, we do have a negative effect on everything around us.

If you don't eat meat, you're still having an impact that kills animals. Habitats lost, like think about it in a critical way.

For me to exist, something has to die.

Could I be responsible for that directly?

I think a lot of people mischaracterize hunters

as people that are just out to kill. I really just want to protect wild areas. I

want the animals to flourish. I want them to have a place to live. I'm not really concerned

about what I get out of this world. I just want people to enjoy this world when I'm
