Hi and welcome to The Real Weird Sisters. I'm Martha, and today we have a little bit of a different show for you.

Unfortunately, this past month, Alice and I experienced a death in the family, and that is the death of our wonderful, beloved, 99-year-old grandmother.

And she passed earlier in the month, and we celebrated her life this past weekend.

And in nine years of the podcast, we still have never missed a Monday.

So we are still committed to releasing an episode every week of the podcast.

But due to all of the family events celebrating her life this weekend, we decided instead of

doing a typical scheduled program that we would re-release the interview that we did with

grandma back in 2019.

So we were super privileged to have been able to interview her back on the podcast

when she was quite a bit more able to answer detailed questions than she was in the last

five years in her battle with dementia. So we wanted you to have the chance to listen again to this wonderful interview that we did

with her back six years ago now.

And just like we did with the real weird grandpa, we wanted to share her with you one last

time.

Thank you for bearing with us and understanding as we're coping with the loss

of someone we loved very, very much. We will be back next Monday with our regularly scheduled

program. And like I said, we are committed to never missing a week in the almost nine years

that we've been doing this podcast. So without further ado, I'd like to introduce you once again, reintroduce you,

or perhaps introduce you the first time to the wonderful real weird grandma and her interview

that we did with her in 2019 for Mother's Day.
