Later in the podcast, we're going to get some good newsy updates on how the NFL is dealing with this incredible spate of COVID positive tests that seemingly in the last couple of weeks have just come out of nowhere

we'll be joined by Tom Pellicero, our friend from NFL network and NFL.com.

So there's so much to talk about this week, Paul,

but I think that the one thing I'd really like to get into

is to try to kind of explain to explain exactly where we are.

And look, I don't know how much anybody felt the way I felt about the Monday night game.

We're recording this on Tuesday, December 28. But boy, I just really thought it was an embarrassment for the National Football League. And I don't, I'm not necessarily blaming the NFL right now for this, you know, for this,

the omicron variant, which obviously is sweeping the country and is making a lot of people sick.

I don't really know the right answer. I just know that

what was on television on Monday night with a quarterback who had never played before.

And I have no idea if Ian Book can play or not for the Saints,

but that Miami-Vict mean good for them they're they're now in prime

playoff position and it's not their fault or anything but Miami just did not feel a competitive team last night in this game.

And Paul, give me your view of what you saw in the game and what you think about what is happening right now in the NFL.

I felt like I was watching preseason football last night, Peter, and I for about a decade,

I called preseason games for the Jaguars and the Chiefs.

I'm as familiar with what preseason football feels like
