The Bible recounts Miriam's grumbling against her brother, Moses.

This was deadly serious, according to Nancy DeMoss-Walgamuth.

I don't know any faster way to get the presence, the manifest presence in glory of God to depart from your life or mine,

than to become involved in the sins that Miriam was involved in,

the speaking out against God's service.

Have you ever noticed some behaviors are considered taboo in the church?

They're the more obvious sins, the ones condemned by pretty much everyone.

But other sins are a lot easier to get away with.

Like telling a white lie, dishonoring your parents gossiping,

and what I've seen especially in churches is grumbling against those in authority.

Well, the not-so-obvious sins like these are actually dangerous, don't you think?

That's something Nancy's going to explore more in today's message.

You know, let me just take a moment to pray before Nancy teaches. Father, we do so often.

Take the sins that we struggle with regularly and we belittle them. We don't understand how grave they are, how dangerous they are, and how they can

grow and overtake our lives. Father, I pray that today, as we listen to Nancy teach, that you

would bring a sweet sense of conviction to our hearts that we might walk in freedom. In the name of

Jesus, I ask this. Amen.
