Today's tip is to remember a childhood summer.

If you spend some time really thinking about what you enjoyed as a kid,

you can get insights into what might make life more enjoyable now.

If you read a lot of American literature in particular, there's a fantasy of the ideal childhood

summer. It's spent wild and carefree, outside, with friends, filled to the brim with happiness.

Now, this is obviously not going to be true for every minute for anybody.

It also presupposes a certain family structure that has someone watching out the kitchen window

as the kids frolic in the yard.

That said, for many of us growing up in a society that featured long summer breaks from school,
