Summary

In typical “One, Two, Skip a few” fashion, Jimmy and Mark fast forward you back to HQ after the Vortex Extreme to give a run down on everything that happened from the moment those reloads left the press to the moment they crossed the finish line at the Vortex Extreme. How did it go? What tips/tricks would they give to the next group of newbie reloaders looking to take their new-found skills to a competition? Would they actually ever do this again? And as we answer those questions, it brings us to the conclusion of our very first podventure. What did you guys think of the series? Are you looking forward to more? Hopefully so, because, well… Whether you like it or not, we have more of these in the works! If you loved this, we’d love to hear your feedback, too, on ideas for future podventures – They could be competition-related, hunting-related, food-related, who knows! As always, we want to hear your feedback! Let us know if there are any topics you'd like covered on the Vortex Nation podcast by asking us on any one of our social media platforms and using #VortexNationPodcast.

So for those of you not familiar, we did a few episodes on this all kind of back to back last year for

0:35.4

the last Vortex Extreme.

0:37.0

First one that was in Wyoming.

0:39.1

And that'll give you, get you real up to speed on exactly what it is but to give you the

0:43.2

Spark Notes version essentially what we were going here to shoot long-range

0:47.1

match do we already talk about this in the first episode I think so yeah yeah we

0:50.5

already did okay long-range match kind of quasi-hunting, kind of PRS, you know, a little bit, you got a hike there between each stage.

0:57.0

I'd say it's a hybrid long-range slash with a hunting flare with a

1:03.0

physical element.

1:04.0

Right.

1:05.0

So that's what we were shooting.

1:08.0

And as you pick up now,

1:10.0

one thing that Mark and I had to do before we went out there

1:12.0

was test these

1:12.8

reloads that we did. We had to test these reloads that we made, right?

1:17.0

Mm-hmm. Looking back on it, as we talked with Nick and Tony and Ryan Hay, they brought up a bunch of stuff that I think was really valuable information

1:26.1

as to how to really test, find a node, find these velocity stuff.

1:31.6

That's something that had we had more time we certainly would have done.

1:37.0

Right, in this particular case we were pressed for time, which as I've talked to more and more

1:41.7

reloaders it sounds like they're almost always pressed for time.
