This is one of my favorite churches in the country, and I've never been here until today.

Because I appreciate what you guys are doing. I watch online. I hear what Jack's doing. As he said,

I do get some text messages from Jack. You've got the most wonderful pastor in the country.

Just so thankful. I feel like my job tonight is to kind of be a scout

from the front lines and to tell you about the battle for religious freedoms and in our country

and what brothers and sisters in Christ are going through all across the country so you can get

a little bit of an

update and if you if you want some scripture to go through later go back through Joshua 1 chapter 1

and especially Joshua I mean it says it a number of times but Joshua 1 9 the Israelites were about

to enter the promised land I mean God has promised them the promised land,

right? But he has to tell them over and over and over again, be strong and courageous.

I'm going to be with you. Be strong and courageous. And I truly believe that's where we are right now.

So at the end, I think you'll have a better understanding of that. But let me start with the basics.

What is First Liberty Institute, the group I lead? It's the largest legal nonprofit in the country that all we do is religious freedom. So let's say you're a 10-year-old boy and your name is Giovanni Rubio. And you're told you can bring any book you want to free reading time at school until he brings his favorite book his Bible. And then he's told,

you can't have that at school. And he's a poor family. They live outside of Miami-Dade County.

What are they going to do? I mean, take a couple hundred thousand dollars out of the bank and hire

a legal team. So that's why we come in. We bring the best litigators in the country. They all

donate their time

so that when Giovanni wins his case, which we did win the case, we don't just win for

Giovanni, but we set a precedent for all of our kids and our grandkids.

And I always like to start out with why religious freedom is so important.

Because most Christians, when you talk to them, they'll say, yeah, it's important.
