Today we are going to look at the crown of thorns worn by our Savior and its history after this historic event.

Let us begin our story.

Firstly, of course, we begin with our Lord before Pilate.

He has claimed to be the King of the Jews and is removed from the face of Pilate to be scourged. After his scourging, the soldiers mocked him and put a crown of thorns on his head.

And plating a crown of thorns they put it upon his head and a reed in his right hand.

And bowing the knee before him, they mocked him, saying,

Hail, King of the Jews." That is from the gospel according to St. Matthew chapter 27.
