Summary

After hearing Paul preach, King Agrippa declines to accept Christianity because he is unwilling to leave his lifestyle, power – and one particularly alarming sin—behind. As we learn just why Agrippa was so hesitant to accept what Paul preached in Acts 26:27-30, we examine the sins we also cling to and why it is so imperative that we don’t hesitate to leave them behind.

0:04.5	As we've been studying this story, it's quite a drama. Paul, the apostle, he's been through the mill.
0:10.4	Man, you know, if you remember he did his three missionary journeys, which that's pretty
0:13.6	adventurous enough. But when he comes back to Jerusalem, he meets a few Jews that are really
0:19.0	excited that Gentiles are being saved and the
0:21.5	Lord's moving radically. But most of the Jews in Jerusalem hate Paul and made a pact to kill Paul.
0:28.6	And they were going to kill him when the Romans said, man, we can't have this. So the Romans
0:32.1	stepped in and took custody of Paul. And then they were going to scourge Paul for causing a ruckus.
0:38.1	Then they realized, wow, he's a Roman citizen.
0:40.5	They couldn't scourge him, so they gave him back to the Jews.
0:43.6	The first thing the Jews did is took him to the high priest, Ananias,
0:48.2	and Ananias had a guy punch Paul in the face.
0:50.6	Just another day in ministry for Paul.
0:53.9	And then, and then, you know, after that, you know,
0:56.6	Paul gets sent over an accessory and stands before Felix.
1:00.2	And that's where we were last Sunday, if you're with us,
1:02.3	standing before Felix the rat.
1:04.2	Remember that?
1:05.3	Well, today it's kind of the same thing.
1:07.5	He's going to stand before not Felix.
1:09.0	Felix is gone now, and a new dude's in town,
1:11.4	Festus. And that's not the guy from Gunsmoke, if you're wondering. Different Festus.
