We are at day 5 of our theme work exploring how to manage top holiday stressors.

And in today's episode you're going to be guided in a meditation to calm your frazzled nerves.

During the time of year when we most want to feel calm and at peace and more serene,

we often feel our most anxious, our most tense.

This often has to do with expectations during this season.

You might find that you have a lot of commitments that you're not really looking forward to.

In fact, for you, the meaning of this season and how you'd like to close out the new year,

might be different from what your loved ones and the people around you want to do.

When you're beginning to feel this anxiety and overwhelm,

you can build in moments of peace during your day and that's the challenge for this week.

Think about what you can do each day to feel as though you're relaxing,

you're celebrating the way you want to.

Even if it means waking up a little bit earlier,

that's what I did this morning. I woke up knowing that I had a lot of commitments to do,

but I needed some space for myself.

So I did some yoga stretches and I meditated outside.

I find that whenever I spend any time outside, I feel restored.

What helps you to feel restored?

I have a friend who builds in a massage a week during this time of year

because she knows that getting a massage every week is going to help her anticipate her weeks
