0:15.8	about the relationship pedestal. Before we get into that, I want to share with you my free guide called

0:40.0	So I want to share this idea of the relationship pedestal with you because it's something that's been coming up with clients recently.
0:48.4	So the relationship pedestal refers to a pattern of thought that prevents the amount of joy you can receive
0:58.9	from other areas of life outside of dating and relationships. And what that looks like is when
1:06.8	you have something going really well in life, like maybe you go on an awesome trip,
1:11.8	or you're hanging out with your best friend and it's so fun, or you just got a promotion,
1:17.3	or you just hit a new PR in the gym. And then on top of that experience, you have a thought,
1:24.7	like, it doesn't matter though, because I'm not in a relationship.
1:29.4	And it's almost like not having the relationship yet that you want cancels out joy from other
1:37.8	areas. So a few ways that this showed up for clients as one client was super successful in her job,
1:46.1	like completely killing it just is a high achiever and truly created her dream career.
1:55.2	And she shared that her friend was congratulating her on that and saying like,
1:59.9	this is so amazing, like, you are
2:01.5	killing it. And she was like, kind of just dismissing her friend's comments and not really
2:07.6	letting it soak in how awesome it is that she got to where she is and how much she loves her
2:12.8	job because she had the thought, well, that doesn't really matter because I haven't found my partner yet.
2:19.0	And this is really important because one thing we always talk about on the podcast is
2:24.3	dating is a place where we go to give. And we get the energy to give to dating from the rest of our
