Well, top of the morning to you and welcome to the Brian Bafini Show.

Today, I'm going to welcome back a long time friend, but today we're going upmarket.

John Gordon has spoken at dozens of Bafini company events and podcasts in the past.

We like to say we're brothers from a different mother, but today we're going upmarket because we have a newcomer today, which is his wonderful bride, Catherine.

And we are going to dive in today onto the subject of relationship grit.

And with everybody being in stay at home orders or quarantine, we know that a lot of marriages and relationships have had a lot of challenges in the last 12 months.

So we thought this would be a great time to get together and talk with a fantastic couple who've learned a few things and we're going to kind of roll up our sleeves and get into the content of relationship grit.

You know, John has written over 20 books.

He's all over the world is a best selling author, but as I know myself with my bride, Beverly of 30 years, that the best sales presentation I ever made was to get it a marry me and the best sales presentation I make every day is to have her stay married to me.

And she's the rock on which I stand and I know John has told me about you, Catherine, for many, many years, it's some delighted to meet you and I'm delighted to have you on the podcast today.

I warn you ahead of time. He and I are very similar people. So you're kind of outnumbered today. So you're going to have to fight for your space. Okay.

This is great. Well, again, I'm John Gordon's biggest fan and advocate. And so delighted that this work that I've read that I think is very timely.

And as we were talking offline, inquiries to divorce attorneys in the last 12 months is up 34% relationships are having very difficult times.

In fact, many in that profession and family counseling and divorce procedures are saying the numbers would be even higher if people could afford to move out.

And so people are stuck together, maybe while they're stuck together, or whether they're doing good, they can do better. I have a great marriage with my bride.

You know what? But this last 12 months has been challenging for everybody. And sometimes we get into bad habits and we start interacting in ways that we could do better when we're all going somewhere to work or travel or whatever else.

So before we kind of dive into the content that I think is going to be life changing for some people today, I want to know this question. Where did you guys meet?
