Today, on The Girl To Find Show, I'm talking with Ginger Dugger Volo.

You may recognize her name as being one of the Dugger Kids from TLC's Hit Reality TV

show, 19 Kids Encouning and Counting On.

If you've seen the show like me and so many other people, then you probably notice some

of the unique ways that the Dugger Girls stressed, skirts and dresses only, no pants, and

the way that they pursue romantic relationships, according only with shopperones at all times,

things like that.

But now, as a married woman herself and mom, Ginger is choosing a different path than

the one that her family followed.

And she tells this story in her new book, Becoming Free Indeed.

My story of disentangling faith from fear.

In this book, Ginger hits raw and honest about the reasons behind her family's ultra-conservative

lifestyle and how many of their beliefs were rooted in the legalistic teachings of Bill

Gawthard.

In our conversation, she shares how Gawthard's seven basic life principles promise freedom

and success to anyone who followed them, but for Ginger growing up, these principles and

these rules trapped her in fear and even religious superstition.

In today's conversation, I asked Ginger what her journey has looked like to lead her

away from Bill Gawthard's teachings and away from the theology of her childhood.

She shares her testimony of finding true freedom in her relationship with Jesus by disentangling

the lies from truth.
