And greetings my friends, Patriots,

lovers of democracy, truth and justice,

believers in peace, freedom, and the American way, Tom Hartman here with you.

And we have so much to talk about today.

But first I want to talk about policing, and the whole issue with policing in the United

States. In my opinion our founders had it right. They said control the guys

with guns at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 they put the military in a box and that

has prevented us from having a military coup over these 240 plus years and we have to do the same

thing today frankly with our police. Right now today the Supreme Court is

deciding whether or not police should have qualified immunity.

And, you know, this is going to be fascinating, but it's probably going to be next,

you know, it'll be this fall before there's, there's hearings on the issue,

it'll be next spring, before there's a decision.

We've got to do stuff right now and Minneapolis is actually leading this charge talking

about literally reinventing, they're using the word disbanding their police. about if your

house, house, that's not what's going to happen.

And they're working out the details of all that.

But you know, this is a start.

And at the very least, cities should require that 100% of their

police come from the places that they are policing, come from the community,

come from at the very least the city in which they police and even better from the communities which they police.
