Good to see you. Let me introduce us. I'm Robert Wright, editor-in-chief of the non-zeroy newsletter.

This is a non-zero podcast. You're Reid Hoffman, as you know. You're very prominent figure in Silicon Valley,

and for that matter, well-known elsewhere around the world. You co-founded LinkedIn. You also,

you didn't technically co-found Open AI, but you were present at creation.

You were one of the original donors to the nonprofit.

In fact, I remember reading about this Open AI thing in the New York Times about 10 years ago when it was first announced and seeing your name along with Elon Musk's.

And then you were also a first round investor in the for-profit subsidiary.

You were on the Open AI board for a while.

You're still on the Microsoft board.

And you've written a number of books, one of which is new, and we're going to talk about called

Super Agency. What could possibly go right with the AI future.

I'm really looking forward to this, because for one thing, I learned a lot from the book.

I learned more about the past than I expected, and we'll explain why technological history is relevant to the argument you make.

I'm also looking forward to it because,

as you know, you and I disagree about how much optimism is in order about our AI future and

accordingly what our kind of policy approach should be. So, with all that said, anything you want to say
