podcast. Very special episode for today. I'm speaking to Esme Brown.

Asme is, she's really fascinating. I was trying to think of the right term.

She's a very fascinating young woman. She is a writer and she's been through a lot and we talk about some of the stuff that she's been through so I should say that there's kind of some sensitive material discussed in this episode if you're kind of sensitive to that but it's

it's real and again when I think about why I created this podcast and why it's

important to me it's to facilitate these difficult discussions

that frankly don't come up in small talk dinner party conversation. We have to

have a space for that. It's essential and I think that it's so brave of people to tell their story

and to not kind of edit out the difficult parts and just kind of skip to the highlights and as

May's got a story to tell but she's also she's gorgeous she's covered in tattoos

but she has this very kind of classic beauty look and all of her tattoos have a

meeting so in the episode we kind of talk about what each of them mean.

She has this really great Boskyat tattoo.

And she actually has a kind of interesting relationship with Boskyat.

I guess not her directly because of course she was not even born yet when Baskyat was alive and at the

height of his career but her father had a close relationship with him and Baskyat

would come over in the middle of the night and kind of look to him for advice and

guidance and talk to him about his work. She has a complicated relationship with

her father who dealt with mental illness and substance abuse. I kind of feel uncomfortable

talking about it because I feel like it's really her story to tell and he passed away.

He addresses it in this episode,

but just I think vulnerability is such a beautiful trait in people.
