But first I wanted to ask you about what I thought was kind of some interesting

electric vehicle news this week.

We had some comments from a big time CEO that were decidedly cool on on the whole EV

Proliferation that we're seeing right now.

Yeah, so this is comments from the CEO of Stolantis, Carlos Tavares. He was speaking with some European newspapers and basically he is saying that the EU's strategy

of phasing out combustion engines in favor of EVs is a political choice that carries environmental and social risk.

Now, this is really interesting considering that Stolantis is stepping up its

E.V. efforts, including an announcement around the time of

CES about adding more EVs to the Chrysler lineup. But this is what Carlos Tavares told the newspapers, and I'm going to just quote here,

he says, what is clear is that electrification is a technology chosen by politicians, not by industry.

And then he went on to say that there were cheaper and faster ways

of reducing carbon emissions.

So not everybody's 100% on board with this electrification push.
