Today, part three and four of our eight-part series, The Path of Loneliness,

a refuge for our loneliness, and distinguishing loneliness and solitude.

Hey, when a storm comes upon us, we want a place of refuge, don't we?

You are loved with an everlasting love. That's what the Bible says.

And underneath are the everlasting arms. This is your friend, Elizabeth Allia.

Talking with you this time about loneliness, particularly about a refuge for our loneliness.

The verse that I've been quoting in my greeting to you every day is from Deuteronomy 33, verse 27.

It says, the eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

He shall thrust out the enemy before thee. That was a very favorite verse of my fathers,

and my father was a man who lived in the Word of God. He used to get up every morning very early,

usually between 430 and 5, in order to spend time alone with God.

That has had a tremendous lasting influence on all six of his children.
