Hi everyone, it's Rosie. Welcome to Radio Headspace and to Friday. Our week on

0:21.7

self-compassion is coming to an end and as usual I want to discuss a topic we

0:28.5

can all relate to, rejection and the powerful role that self-compassion plays in

0:34.7

helping us navigate it. On that note I was recently in a situation where I

0:39.9

didn't get a job that I really wanted. For months I went through interviews and

1:51.0

the potential for growth and renewal. This experience of not getting the job

1:55.9

reminded me of a similar situation that happened earlier in my journey. I vividly

2:02.7

remember when I applied to teach at my first-choice yoga studio. I was

2:07.0

passionate about sharing the practice of yoga and felt deeply aligned with their

2:11.2

values of inclusivity and acceptance. The interview process went well, but as

2:17.2

time passed, I didn't receive a call. When I gathered the courage to call and
