I'm Alexandra Addison Rogge, and for this week's podcast, we're listening in on Kirk Foster's

presentation at the recent Trace Forum. Kirk is the Assistant General Counsel and Director

of Compliance at HII Mission Technologies,

and he's presenting here on redrawing the risk map, evolving business threats and due diligence

in uncertain markets. Here's Kirk.

Companies rebrand all the time. HII stands for Huntington Ingalls Industries. We have two

shipyards. We build aircraft carriers and

nuclear submarines down in Newport News, Virginia. And then we have a shipyard in Pascagoula,

Mississippi, where we build ships for the Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. I work for the third

division, which is called Mission Technologies., used to be called Technical Solutions Division.

It was probably something else before that.

It's a government services.

We support the U.S. government and the intelligence community with a variety of products and services,

uncrewed submersible vehicles, intelligence analytical support, send shipyard workers around the globe to do work

on U.S. Navy ships abroad.

Another section does environmental cleanup and management for Department of Energy sites.

And we're heavily involved now in Australia, and we're gaining a footprint in the United

Kingdom.

But we're basically operating on six of the seven continents.

Fortunately, we haven't found something to put down in Antarctic yet.

My fear is they'd send me there.
