We have been talking a lot. Yesterday, we had an item by Max Cohen talking about,

you know, what it would look like for a potential Speaker, Hakeem, Jeffries. But this morning,

a lot of reality has hit Democrats kind of following the Supreme Court decision on the Voter Rights Act,

saying, you know, this could be a lot harder for Democrats to regain the majority if Republicans are successful in a lot of this last ditch attempt to redistrict across the South.

Yeah. Here's what I'll say at the top as a disclaimer. We don't know what anything is going to look like at this point. We don't know. I mean, Democrats could win 25 seats on the old map. I don't know, right? It's May. There's a lot of time. There's a lot of game to be played, as they say. And the Knicks won. They played a lot of game and they won. But think about what's happened in just the last couple of days. The Supreme Court's ruling in the Voting Rights

Act case has dramatically altered Democrats' fortunes as Republicans in Louisiana, Alabama,

South Carolina, Tennessee have all indicated willingness to redraw their maps. The Virginia Supreme

Court case, Democrats are turning bearish about that.

Florida Republicans have four seats that they've drawn that Republicans can win.

This could put an 10-seats trending Republicans' direction in a way that is just, I would say,

somewhat shocking for a lot of Democrats. because as of a couple weeks ago, the redistricting wars look pretty good for them, you know, and there's various levels of redistricting, right? In the south, Tennessee, lawmakers have already circulated a map to draw Steve Cohen out of his district in Memphis.

Louisiana Republicans are likely to draw at least one of the Bayou States, two Democrats out of the

House. In Alabama, they're discussing getting rid of Shamari figures in the Mobile area and perhaps

Terry Sewell in the Birmingham area. I don't think that's going to happen.

I think it'll be one or the other.
