So we've been listening to a new podcast series from Arizona Republic and AZCentral.com.

And well, we think you're going to find it interesting.

So it investigates the murder of Jose Antonio Elena Rodriguez, a 16-year-old Mexican boy

who was shot by a Border Patrol agent in 2012 at the International Border between Amboz

Nogales, right through the fence that separates Arizona and Sonora.

He was on the Mexican side where he lived.

The podcast follows Jose Antonio's family in their long fight to get justice and how hard

it is to get Border Patrol agents to face trial when they use excessive force.

Here's episode one of rediscovering, killed through the Border Fence.

The streets are mostly desolate.

Few lights illuminate the sidewalks.

Cars periodically zoom past on Calle International.

A street that runs parallel to the International Boundary Fence in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.

The street is just south of the border from its twin city of Nogales, Arizona.

Like both of these cities are very hilly and they're built into canyons.

And so in this particular point, this is one of the areas where the Border Fence is towering

above the Mexican side of the of Nogales.

Standing on the sidewalk on the Mexican side, the 22-foot rust-colored fence looms above

the street.
