It's like just past 1030 and the vibe is just picking up here and the club and I'm

watching as people are coming in and it's really a mixture.

I'm in Williston, North Dakota with Latino USA producer Renaldo Leaños Jr.

He's got like a lot of Latin American Latina women who are coming in.

We're sitting in a big but cozy booth at a restaurant with an interesting name.

It's called Senor Egg.

The restaurant is closed now.

They've moved the tables out of the way and the space is now turned into a club.

Tonight it's Latino night.

There was nothing like this in Williston last time and I can tell this place is going

to be popping in a matter of minutes.

I first went to North Dakota about a decade ago.

I was here reporting on the beginnings of the oil boom in the western part of the state

and its impact on the Fort Berthol Reservation.

Back then North Dakota was in the middle of a lot of change.

In terms of Latinos and Latinas, well you might see one here or there but tonight in

Williston, there are a lot of them.

I'm looking around this restaurant turned club and there are Dominican servers.

There's a young Mexican DJ.

There are couples, Latinos with white women, a queer couple.

It's a really interesting vibe.

The oil boom has lured thousands of Latinos into this region in recent years.
