Today on "The Call Room: Road To Seattle" is the legendary Ali Ince!
Ali has been dominant since stepping onto the track as a freshman in high school. Just at the Brooks PR meet alone, she's won THREE YEARS IN A ROW. She'll look to make history as she goes for a fourth title this June 12, being the first athlete in history to win an event four years in a row.
She's run 54.91 (400m), 2:03.17 (800m), 4:37.98 (1600m), and 16:58 (3-mile XC). She's an eight-time state champion, the Illinois 800m record holder, the IHSA 1600 State Meet Record Holder, the 2022 Illinois Track Gatorade Player of the Year, and a 2xArcadia & NBNI 800m Champion.
.
She recently opened up her season and ran the prestigious Arcadia Invitational, where she won the 800m in a time of 2:05.26.
Part of Ali's story that makes her unique is she's played basketball all four years of high school at a high level in addition to successful indoor track seasons.
Ali is committed to run for The University of Oregon next year, where she'll be a significant contributor to their program.
In today's conversation, Ali takes me through her success in high school, her three wins in a row at Brooks PR, her decision to play basketball and track at the same time, her ambitions for her final year of HS, and so much more!
This was an awesome opportunity to learn from one of the greatest 800m high school girls in the history of the sport. Don't miss this one!
