Primary season is nearing a close after Tuesday's contests in Florida and New York. Now, the big picture for the midterms environment seems to be that the GOP's hope for a red wave may at least come with a blue undertone. Steve Kornacki, NBC News national political correspondent, joins Chuck to bring his insight on the developing 2022 terrain.

New York sort of held half their primaries.

But let's have a quick recap of Tuesday, now down in Florida, Florida Republican governor,

Charlie Chris, ended up beating the only statewide elected Democrat right now in Florida these

The Agriculture Commissioner, Nikki Fried, and Chris won that pretty handling, essentially

6040, to take on Governor DeSantis, Val Demings, and Marco Rubio had token primary opposition.

They're both now officially their nominees for the Senate race.

And that might be the, you know, we'll see which one is the more competitive being I,

and the question is, is a three point race competitive anymore in Florida in the very

swingy district in the Empire State and the Hudson Valley up there in New York, 19, where

red and blue, New York collide.

The Democrat Pat Ryan, vested Republican Mark Mollonaro by two points in that special

election.
