Republicans lost “bigly” compared with expectations of the forecasted “red tsunami”— but why? The answers aren’t easy, but they are increasingly obvious; we need new leadership in the Republican party. Also, the question about God’s judgment on the United States comes up frequently. Today I’ll address it in light of our most recent votes to deny medical care to newborns who are either unwanted or dying, and to California’s brazen disdain for the rights of the unborn. SHOW NOTES

0:31.1 | Hi, everybody. This is Heidi St. John. Thanks for tuning in today. |
0:35.0 | We're going to do a little bit of an analysis here at the show today on the red trickle and the fact that conservatives fumbled the ball in the midterm election. |
0:44.1 | Stick around. I think you're going to be encouraged. |
0:46.6 | All right, you guys. Well, got so much to jump in today. So I'm going to go ahead and just start with California's Proposition 1 which passed in the state of California, which will enshrine abortion rights up to the moment of birth for Californians who basically overwhelmingly approved this measure. |
1:12.6 | You guys, I'm sorry. I cannot help but wonder what is going to happen to these states that are absolutely going against what God says about the sanctity of human life about the sanctity of marriage. |
1:25.1 | And I fear I frankly fear for this country for where we are right now because of what the direction that we're going. |
1:31.5 | Obviously, the midterms were a massive disappointment for conservatives, particularly people like me who are hoping that you guys would get out to the polls and that we would see a sea change in the midterm elections. |
1:43.5 | But unfortunately, that is not what happened. California's Proposition 1 passed Montana rejected a ballot measure that would require medical care for infants who are born alive. |
1:55.5 | I'm trying to imagine what goes through the mind of a living breathing adult who could go to the polls and say, you know what if a baby is born alive from a botched abortion, we can just leave it on the table to die or if a baby is born actually for any reason. |
2:11.5 | And the parents aside, you know what we just don't know not not today we've changed our mind and now in Montana unfortunately the infant can be left to die that's exactly what happened in Montana and Congress right now is at a tipping point. |
2:27.5 | And so I do believe we're going to take back the House, but the Senate is still in question Republicans inch closer to a House majority on Wednesday, but control the Senate is hinging on a few tight tight races in midterm elections. |
2:40.5 | And these are defying the expectations of sweeping conservative victories. And that's why I wrote in my notes today. |
2:46.5 | This is really more of a red sprinkle. It certainly wasn't the red wave that we're hoping for and that we wanted and today as we sort of look at this a little bit and I give you a little bit of an analysis sort of my analysis, I got to tell you my heart was heavy really heavy over what happened in California. |
3:05.5 | And particularly heavy over what we saw happen in the midterms with regard to congressional races all around the nation, I thought for sure, you know with the economy absolutely in a free fall, I got to go to the grocery store and you go, you know what things are just not going so good. |
3:22.5 | We can see disaster happening on our southern border here in Washington state, I just went down to a restaurant supply store for a couple of things before I came to the studio and there is in effect a homeless camp that is massive right outside of this what used to be a really nice neighborhood people openly dealing drugs on the street, I have never seen anything like this in my life. |
3:44.5 | And I thought for sure that that the citizens of Washington state would be tired of it, but apparently not tired enough because we're going to continue what I believe is going to be a slow but steady descent. |
3:55.5 | And I think we are a nation in decline at the moment and it's it's troubling to me it's discouraging and I'm going to keep fighting and I think that's you know the message that I've been sending voters here, a lot of people asking me what my plans are coming coming up to the next election cycle. |
4:12.5 | I don't have any plans when it comes to elections right now my plan is to seek the Lord and ask for his forgiveness and his protection because if the if history is any indication of what happens when nations rebel against God like this we're in trouble we're in trouble. |
