You know, the Red Sox, they're trying to build something that is sustainable, and that's a really hard thing to do.

And it's even harder when you have budgetary constraints that are put in place by ownership.

You're going to look at the model, and the analytical model is going to sit there and tell you this is a bad trade.

And you have to have the conviction to look at this, you know, this objective thing that you use to help you guide a lot

of your decisions and say, you know what, screw you. We're not listening to you at this point

because winning now is too important. And yeah, I can see that.

As a fan, that's almost what you hope your team does, right?

That they are so committed to winning that they say, forget now or forget the future, let's focus on now.

But I just, I don't see this front office operating that way.
