Charles, Chris Barry and show co-creator Doug Nieler in honour of Red Walls Return to our screens.

On day for its 10th series, Nieler say it's going to get very geeky very quickly,

so if you don't know your scutters from your talky toasters you may want to listen away now.

So with us then let's begin. So let's ask the question I'm sure we've been asked a thousand times,

but when you were first approached about Red Walls, do you have any idea what a genuine cult phenomenon you had in your hands?

Or is it just no offense or another job?

Actually we just thought we were going to do a couple of two series, the most of like of this sort of quite curious BBC 2 sci-fi comedy

and then get on with the rest of our careers, because the kind of template for sitcoms back then was like

you quit after two series while you were ahead and then you move on like faulty towers and the young ones and things like that.

And that's what I thought we were going to do, and then it all just went a bit peaked on.

Yeah it was one of those things where you think it's going to either, you know,

either ten people in a dog, you're going to like it or the whole, you know, it's going to go skywards.

It's going to take off big time and that's what it did.

But there kind of were no indications at the time.

We knew how incredibly clever and funny it was, but we just thought it's up to that audience,

that I'm going to like it or not. For me personally, I was completely always being asked to impersonate David Coleman at the time.

So it was a relief to do something that has got to myself.

Yeah, I don't want to always be my life doing this.

You know, it's extraordinary.

People say, you're a running rig in one of those people as well.
