Hello everybody. I am back from the dead. What's up? I mean, I know this is not just about me here, but I'm pretending it is. Welcome back to fingers crossed. We are your hosts. I'm Sierra. And I'm Christy. And I'm back because you know,

0:23.7

Christy did a wonderful solo last week. I haven't texted you about it just because I wanted to,

0:28.1

I'm not going to. You're saving your reaction for this, I guess. I mean, I didn't want to spoil

0:32.9

anything. You've told me before, but I've gone to like tell you about things. We'd like, say it for the podcast.

0:54.9

So, yes, I am back from the dead because, yes, Christy was last week, the week before, we take a break because I had COVID. We'll get into that. I don't know if I just want to jump right in with that or if we have anything else we want to say before then. But she's back, everyone. Back and better than ever. Actually, not better than ever because she's still recovering, to be honest. Yeah, pneumonia is no joke. So just backing it up,

0:59.5

your girl got COVID, even though I've had all three shots. And I unfortunately got it really bad.

1:04.9

And I was not expecting to because most people I know who've got the Omicron variant,

1:10.0

everyone was like, oh yeah, it's just a cold,

1:12.1

you'll just have a few symptoms, you'll be fine. And a lot of people, that is the reality.

1:15.9

But for other people, including a lot of people who are fully vaccinated, it is not the reality.

1:20.7

And I unfortunately got very sick. I got like a full, like high fever, all the symptoms of a head cold a razor blade sore throat like the

1:30.2

point where it felt like strep i had muscle aches body aches back aches and then i turned into this

1:36.1

horrible cough where i was like struggling to breathe because i was coughing so bad i ended up going

1:41.2

to the hospital turns out i had covid-induced pneumonia and and I was like, what? The F, this is not supposed to happen when you get vaccinated. And

1:50.3

I gave me an inhaler. I'm on two different antibiotics. This whole thing, and it's just been so

1:55.7

frustrating because I'm like, I'm 26. I am a reasonably healthy person. I am reasonably active. I mean, I could be more

2:03.3

active. This has actually been a big kicker to me that I want to be more in shape and more active,

2:08.3

not for any like aesthetic purposes, but because I don't want to put my lungs through something like

2:13.4

this again. And I'm hoping that if I can try to be a little more better with my cardiovascular health, that will help, or at least, yeah, but at the same time, like, you shouldn't blame your,

2:22.1

I feel like with all those things, you know, it's, you really just never know. Like, you can see or you can

2:26.3

expect that because you're X, Y and Z, that it's only going to hit you a certain way. But like, but like I think what we've learned with this entire pandemic is really just

2:34.6

expect the unexpected essentially like you really never know how it's going to play out
