Southern California Edison will pay a record $82.5 million to settle claims over the 2020

Bobcat Fire. Brittany Mejia reports federal officials believe the fire started when overgrown

trees came into contact with power lines, igniting a blaze that burned over 114,000 acres.

It destroyed homes, damaged wildlife habitats, and shut down over 100 miles

of forest hiking trails. Officials call it the region's largest wildfire damage settlement.

They say the funds will help rebuild habitats, restore public lands, and strengthen forests.

The utility company is already facing growing criticism after a rise in fire incidents and possible ties to this year's Eaton Fire.

At just 11 years old, Elisa Perales is making history as the youngest graduate of Crafton Hills Community College in Ukiypa.

Andrew J. Kampa reports she earned multiple associate degrees in math and science,

and she's already got her eyes set on SpaceX.

Her father, Raphael, left his career to homeschool her full-time.

Together, they treated learning like a full-time job, studying six days a week, eight hours a day.

All that paid off,

and Elisa began college at just eight years old. Her drive and focus helped her earn a 3.8 GPA and compete in college-level computer programming contests. But outside the classroom, she's still a

kid who loves Disneyland, playing soccer, and connecting with friends

through Roblox. She's still deciding which university to attend, but hopes to eventually pursue

a career in artificial intelligence. Disney and YouTube are set to face off in court. Wendy Lee

reports Disney is suing Google-owned YouTube for hiring Justin Connolly while he was still under contract.

Connolly, who was a top Disney distribution executive, oversaw major deals for Disney Plus, TV networks, and licensing agreements, including one with YouTube.
