I'd like to start with something funny.

And I heard about this six-year-old boy.

He was standing in the church lobby, staring at the large plaque on the wall.

It was filled with names, with small American flags by their side.

He asked the pastor what all the names were for.

The pastor explained how that was a memorial to all the young men and women that died in the service. The little boy stood there silently, so concerned. He finally looked up and asked, was it the 8.30 or 11 o'clock service? Say it like

you mean it. This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I can do what it says I can do.

Today I will be taught the word of God. I boldly confess, my mind is alert, my heart is receptive.

I will never be the same. In Jesus' name, God bless you. I want to talk to you today about recognizing your value. Too often we base our

value on how someone is treating us, how successful we are, how perfect of a life we've lived. The problem is

all of those things can change. If you're getting your value out of how people treat you, then if they hurt you, they disappoint you, you're going to feel devalued.

If you're basing your value off of your achievements, how much you make, what you drive, the title behind your name.

Then if something happens and you don't have that position, your business goes down,

then your value will go down.

And some people don't feel good about themselves because they've made mistakes in life.

They're not where they thought they would be.

Now they're living insecure, feeling inferior. They're basing their thought they would be now they're living insecure feeling inferior
