Summary

Leadership, respect, duty, structure, legacy, service, praise. All of these are embodied in the archetype of the King—the foremost (and arguably most difficult) energy to cultivate. But like everything, the King’s got a dark side we need to understand. To celebrate the re-launch of the ManTalks Shadow Course, I’ve been covering all things shadow, including the dark sides of two important archetypes to masculinity: the Warrior and the King. This episode was originally released in 2019, and it was one of my favorites to research and record. As the saying goes, "your pain has its own intelligence". This intelligence is the shadow. Recognize your disowned parts, redefine your strengths, and reclaim wholeness with the Shadow Course. Did you enjoy the podcast? that our culture and our societies are struggling with the most.

0:38.3

0:46.3

Like this archetypes seems to be under attack quite a bit.

0:49.3

But also there are many fraudulent kings.

0:52.3

There's many fraudulent archetypes that are out there running rampant

0:55.8

in today's society, as we'll talk about in this episode. Quick reminder to all the guys, if you

1:26.6

importance of sharing this specific

1:28.5

episode. I truly believe that this is one of the most important archetypes that is falling

1:35.1

apart and has been forgotten within our culture and within our society. And the archetype of the

1:41.2

king is so important. And so whether you are a man or a woman listening to this show, I would encourage you to

1:49.4

relates to their life and see how it relates to their society, their culture, the city
