So I know that you teach and talk about menstrual cycles and everything that goes with that,

but even just like backtracking it, what were some of the stories, because I feel like we've all gotten stories about our menstrual cycles,

what were some of the ones that you received or heard or felt inside of you growing up?

Yeah. So for me, growing up, I didn't really get a lesson on menstrual cycles.

I learned some things in school. And when my cycle first started,

I got the talk on how to use pads and things like that. But there's nothing special about it.

And it really wasn't talked about. And I think that lack of conversation really had an impact on me.

And it's like, you know, that omission of conversation that not really

regarding it as something that's really important and special kind of taught me that this part

of me wasn't really that special or important. And I think that played a big role in how I

experienced my mental cycles and just how I

continued to move on through life and some of the things that, yeah, just taught me a lot about

myself to just kind of put away this part of myself that was actually really, really important.

Yeah, yeah. I appreciate the way that you've shared that because I felt the same way growing up. It was like something we just didn't talk about. I don't remember anyone in my family telling me about it. I do remember getting this illustrated book that I think a lot of people have seen or heard of, but it like shows you how to put a tampon in and it has like colorful pictures

and it's geared towards kids. And I actually remember that book making me feel really insecure
